FEATURE · CREATIVE REVIEW
Creative review and client approval, beside the work
Simplr keeps every creative version, internal decision and piece of client feedback attached to the job it belongs to, then follows the work through to delivery. Creative review and the client portal are included on every plan.
Every version in one place
Upload a creative file with a short note on what changed, and it becomes the next version of that job. Earlier versions stay where they are, with their comments and decisions, so nobody has to work out which attachment is the latest or what the client said about the one before.
Comments stay with each version. On image previews, click a point to place a numbered pin, so feedback refers to the exact headline or crop rather than “the thing at the top”. Files without a preview can be downloaded, and general comments work for every file.
Internal approval before the client sees anything
Work follows a clear internal route: creative director review, then account lead review. Each reviewer approves the version or requests changes, and a change request needs a written note, so the creative team knows exactly what to fix.
Uploading a revision starts a new round. Earlier rounds keep every version and decision in the history, so you can always trace how the work got here. Reviews and comments stay inside Simplr until an account lead explicitly shares the work with the client.

A client feedback tool built for agencies
When the work is ready, the account lead shares it through the client portal. Client contacts join with a private invitation link and see only what your agency has chosen to share: shared work, upcoming milestones, creative for review and delivered files. Internal comments, rates and unpublished versions never appear there.
Each client contact has the permissions you give them: view, comment, request or approve. They can give focused feedback on the version in front of them, ask for changes or approve it, and every decision is attributed to the person who made it.
From client approval to recorded delivery
Approval is not the end of the job. Once the client approves, the work moves to delivery and the account team records the final handoff. The final file and the delivery record sit in the job’s activity, showing who delivered it and when.
For jobs with several deliverables, each item follows the same route through review and delivery, and the job is only complete when everything in the accepted scope has been delivered. Nothing quietly drops off the list.
Clear roles for account, creative and client
Creatives start with context, find the right version and spend less time chasing decisions. Account teams see where each piece of work stands, who it is waiting for and what happens next. Clients review the work, give focused feedback and understand what follows their approval.
Because the brief, the versions, the feedback and the delivery all live on the same job, everyone works from the same record, from the first concept to the final file.
Frequently asked questions
Do clients need to join our workspace to give feedback?
- No. Client contacts are invited through a private, single-use link and are kept separate from your agency’s members. They only see the work your agency has shared with them.
Can clients see our internal comments?
- No. Internal reviews and comments stay inside Simplr. Nothing reaches the client until an account lead explicitly shares it, and agency feedback is only visible to the client when you publish it.
Which files can we review?
- Image files show a preview where reviewers can place numbered pin comments. Other files can be downloaded, and general comments are available for every version.
Is a client approval in Simplr a legal signature?
- No. Simplr records who approved which version and when, which gives you a clear record of sign-off, but it is not a legal electronic signature.
Which plan includes creative review?
- Creative versions, internal review and the client portal for feedback, requests and approvals are included on every plan, including Simplr Essentials.
